Nestled on the Pencarrow Estate in the heart of Cornwall sits our luxury bed and breakfast – Park Farmhouse, a ruggedly handsome 200 year old Hunting Lodge.Park Farmhouse retains all of its original charm and character enhanced by open fires, beams, window seats overlooking the gardens, and flagstone flooring. All rooms are sympathetically decorated and combine the comfort of modern living with the romance of the past. Today it remains a romantic, charming, and elegant farmhouse which offers guest comfortable and relaxing accommodation.
Shooting, Hunting and FishingOur Hunting Lodge has been accommodating huntsmen for over 200 years, and it’s a tradition that we’re only too happy to continue. We welcome large parties (and wives!) from all over the world throughout the year who regularly take over our whole lodge. With our partner Scott Milne, we are able to offer some of the most exclusive shooting in the UK, and cater for all the hunt’s needs, including luxury accommodation, early breakfasts, delicious lunches made with fresh local produce and congratulatory feasts to welcome you home.
Cornwall Cookery SchoolWe also run the The Park Farmhouse Cookery School - together with Mark Devonshire (formally of Rick Stein’s Restaurant and Cookery School for 17 years!) we offer Residential and Non-Residential cookery classes - lessons taught in a friendly and informal atmosphere. For us it’s about nurturing your natural cooking skill and giving you the essential techniques of how to select, prepare and present all manner of meat, fish, seafood, starters and desserts, with a strong focus on locally sourced produce and game.
Bed and Breakfast CornwallDating back to the early 18th Century, it forms part of the Pencarrow Estate which has been lived in and owned by the Molesworth St. Aubyn family for in excess of 200 years.Whether you stroll through our gardens, relax in the courtyard, or venture out, Park Farmhouse provides a tranquil setting from which to base your holiday. The three ensuite double bedrooms (one of which has wheelchair access), are elegantly furnished with period furniture, each having its own distinct character. One of the bedrooms has a single room available next door - fantastic for families! All rooms have luxuriously appointed baths or separate shower, remote controlled televisions, hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities. The spacious and attractive drawing room and dining room, both with wonderful open fires, offer high levels of comfort, combined with a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy a candlelit dinner selected from our daily-changing menu, or enjoy drinks and a BBQ in the courtyard (weather permitting), both cooked by Justin and Sarah, chefs with more than twenty years experience between them. All our meals are freshly cooked to a high standard, incorporating our own smoked meats, and fish, and the very best seasonal, locally sourced produce. English breakfast is served at a sociably shared table in our dining room, using the best of local produce including free-range eggs from our neighbours, locally made sausages, bacon and home-made bread and preserves. In Cornwall, you’re never short of things to do. It could be walking or cycling the famous Camel Trail, or perhaps a trip to the unspoilt fishing villages of Padstow, Port Isaac or Boscastle. With the golden sands of Polzeath, the Eden Project and the mythical castle at Tintagel all only a short drive away, it’s all within easy reach from us. Welcome to Park Farmhouse.
